Sonderzug-treasure`s pages feature porcelain tableware, silverware, glass, and cloth items from the Sonderzugs, the war trains which transported the political leaders and senior military personnel of the Third Reich. The main collection from which these pieces derive belong to one of the foremost authorities on Deutsche Reichsbahn tableware, which is referenced in James A. Yannes book “The Special Trains of Hitler, Göring et al”.

The collection formed the basis of many decades of research into this, until now, a little-known subject that gives a fascinating insight into the psyche of the Nazi leaders.

In addition to the Deutsche Reichsbahn items, other pieces of Third Reich tableware will be offered for sale, including Adolf Hitler, personal porcelain, silver, and glassware from the Deutscher Hof, The Berghof, and other important sites of the Third Reich era. Various other Third Reich-related items such as militaria, ephemera, books, blades, etc, may be offered when made available for sale.

In recent years porcelain items, especially Deutsche Reichsbahn pieces, have become extremely scarce and are now highly sought after by discerning collectors and museums, Sonderzug-treasures aims to release for sale some of these rare pieces which include many items used on the railway cars of the infamous leaders of the Third Reich, and may actually have been used by those personalities themselves. As these items are part of ongoing private collections it will be entirely at the discretion of the owners of said collections when pieces become available for sale.

This website is directed towards collectors and museums in particular where these historically important items can be researched and displayed in an appropriate manner for future generations to view and understand.
