Orders

No contract will exist between you the buyer and us, Sonderzug-treasures until we have received full payment from you and have dispatched the ordered products. Please note that our initial acknowledgment of your order does not constitute acceptance of that order. You may also receive a payment acknowledgment email from Sonderzug-treasures, this again does not constitute acceptance of that order.

Authenticity guaranteed

All items sold are genuine period items, whether antique, vintage, or militaria, and deemed to be authentic unless stated otherwise. However, mistakes can be made. If such a mistake has been made, Sonderzug-treasures will refund 100% of the purchase price to the original buyer.
Altering the item in any way (cleaning, disassembly, any modification) voids the warranty. 

Postage / Shipping Charges / Customs & Excise

Postage to addresses in the United Kingdom is free of charge. No Customs charges apply.
Postage to addresses in the European Customs Union is free of charge. No Customs charges apply. (Northern Ireland is part of the European Customs Union)
The rest of the world, destinations outside of the United Kingdom and the European Customs Union, Flat rate charge.

Methods of Payment

Payments are to be made in GB Pounds Sterling (£) by credit/debit card via Stripe, PayPal, or bank transfer. We can also accept U.K. personal cheques, but please be advised that cheques can take up to four weeks to clear so the item purchased will not be shipped until the cheque has cleared. The buyer is responsible for all bank fees and other fees associated with all methods of payment.

International purchases

It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the item being purchased is legal to possess and import into their country. Items purchased will be shipped with customs declaration as required. We use Royal Mail and Parcelforce as our shipping agents and all items are despatched via International Tracked or Tracked and Signed depending on which method is available to the Country being shipped to. Please be aware that breakable items, which include glass and porcelain, are insured for loss only. Sonderzug-treasures is not responsible for any losses including missing shipments, damaged shipments, tariffs, duties, and/or customs seizures. All sales to countries outside the U.K. will be at our discretion.

Purchasers may organize their own shipping method if so desired but this will remove Sonderzug-treasures from any responsibility or liability to any claims for non-receipt of goods, delays, damages, or any other claim for compensation in relation to said purchased goods, also returns will not be accepted for any reason under these circumstances.

All items are shipped with suitable packing materials and are well labeled, in the case of breakables we will in most instances double box or even triple box the item to make sure it is safe and secure for its journey.

Returns

Sonderzug-treasures inspects every item thoroughly and takes many detailed photographs so as to accurately describe it before listing it on the website. There should be no surprises when you receive an item. If for some reason the item is not as described and you wish to return it you must contact us within 7 days with details of the discrepancy. As already mentioned, refunds will not be issued if the item is altered in any way (cleaning, disassembly, any modification), or in the case of breakables, glass, porcelain, and similar items where they have been broken due to mishandling by the couriers. “Not liking”, “no longer want it” or “I`ve changed my mind”  is not a valid reason for a refund.

The buyer will be responsible for return shipping charges and the item must be fully insured. In order for the refund to be issued, the item needs to be returned in the exact condition in which we dispatched it to you. We have many photos in addition to the ones on our website showing the condition of the item. All items are photographed at each stage of preparation for shipping, including the final prepared parcel and its labels, proof of postage, and tracking details are securely stored.

Damaged item claims

Any disputes regarding damage caused during shipping will be between you the buyer and the shipping company. Sonderzug-treasures will not be responsible for any items damaged during the shipping process.

Sales of Knives

The sale of Knives is restricted to those aged over 18. A statement of age is required before purchase is concluded.

Availability of Goods

As indicated on the Home page, all items described on the category pages contained are made available for sale from private collections and are listed at the owner`s discretion. All items are listed on a first come basis.

Delivery estimates

Sonderzug-treasures will always use the fastest and safest method of shipment available, which in most cases will be via Royal Mail or Parcelforce Worldwide, although other couriers may be used at our discretion. Tracking is always used but please refer to the specific delivery company website for delivery time updates.

Dispatch times

Sonderzug-treasures will aim to dispatch items within two business days after full payment has been processed and cleared into our account.
