Having been involved in collecting Third Reich, in particular Deutsche Reichsbahn tableware for more than forty years we thought it is now time to share some of our fascinating historical items with the rest of the collecting world.
Sonderzug-treasure`s pages feature porcelain tableware, silverware, glass, and cloth items from the Sonderzugs, the war trains which transported the political leaders and senior military personnel of the Third Reich. The main collection from which these pieces derive belong to one of the foremost authorities on Deutsche Reichsbahn tableware, which is referenced in James A. Yannes book “The Special Trains of Hitler, Göring et al”.
The collection formed the basis of many decades of research into this, until now, a little-known subject that gives a fascinating insight into the psyche of the Nazi leaders
