Deutsche Reichsbahn Short Stem Champagne shot Glass Flute

Deutsche Reichsbahn Short-Stem Champagne Shot Glass Flute

Incredibly Rare Champagne shot glass flute from one of the Deutsche Reichsbahn Salon Wagons, most likely for high ranking staff, Hermann Göring or Hitler himself maybe, Hitler was known to be a teetotaller but when glasses such as this little one were used to toast a special event, etc.., he would have drunk something non-alcoholic from it while others enjoyed the champagne!

This beautiful little glass features a stunning, deeply hand-etched 3-D effect Deutsche Reichsbahn Eagle and swastika motif with ‘D’ & ‘R’ straddling the wreathed swastika.

On one or two extremely rare cases over the past forty to fifty years, or so, a full-sized Deutsche Reichsbhan wine glass has popped up and if you ever see one again please let us know!!
On the other hand, this little DR Champagne Flute is the only one we have ever seen and there is no record (as far as we know) of another one ever being available for sale on the open market making it an incredibly rare find and a superb investment.

Third Reich Deutsche Reichsbahn Aluminium-Alloy Train Ashtray

    Deutsche Reichsbahn Aluminium-Alloy Train Ashtray.

One of the many variants of DR Train ashtray which were fitted to the bulkhead corridors of all the Sonderzug wagons, although you would not dare smoke in the presence of Hitler!

Made from a magnesium-aluminium alloy it is well marked on the mounting plate with the German ordnance factory stamping ‘dek’ (although it could be ‘dgk’, or ‘aek’ ? not quite sure!) and alloy content stamping ‘Mg 3’, along with other marks, numbers, and symbols. To the front of the ashtray in a square cartouche is the ‘DR’ logo.

A really nice Third Reich Deutsche Reichsbahn period collectable.
