Description
Informal Linen Tablecloth from Hermann Göring’s Family Wagon 10 ‘205’
A quite superb and exceedingly rare Linen tablecloth produced for the Deutsche Reichsbahn Sonderzugs.
This one carries designation marks for Hermann Göring’s Sonderzug ‘Asien’, and in particular carriage number ‘205’, Hermann Göring’s family car, which was for use by his wife Emmy, and daughter Edda when they joined him for a trip.
The off-white cloth is rectangular in shape and is accentuated by two inner borders with a silky finish, which gives a slightly shimmering effect to what is otherwise a plain bland tablecloth. A quite stunning Eagle and Swastika straddled with the letters, ‘D’ & ‘R’, Deutsche Reichsbahn Motif is machine stitched to the center of the cloth and can be seen in reverse to the backside. The tablecloth carries a designation mark for Hermann Göring`s family Wagon 10 ‘205’ this is in the form of a stitched number “205” to the lower-left corner.
Please also check out Product ID: 1286, Nymphenburg Porcelain Soup Dish/Bowl from Hermann Göring’s Family Wagon 10 ‘205’ which without a doubt would have accompanied this tablecloth on the Göring’s dining table on board Sonderzug ‘Asien’.
