  • Nymphenburg Porcelain Lidded Soup Tureen from Adolf Hitler`s personal Formal Tableware at the Deutscher Hof

Nymphenburg Porcelain Lidded Soup Tureen from Adolf Hitler`s personal Formal Tableware at the Deutscher Hof

An incredibly rare snow-white porcelain dome-Lidded Soup Tureen, specially produced by the Nymphenburg factory in Munich for Adolf Hitler`s personal formal tableware, used exclusively at the Deutscher Hof, Nürnberg.
The tureen bears a gilt national eagle clutching a wreathed swastika to the front, the upper rim has a band of gilt surrounding the entire lip and a thinner gilt band about 1cm from the base. The tureen has two handles one on each side. To the base can be found a dark blue-green Nymphenburg maker’s mark, an impressed Nymphenburg stamping, and also the impressed number ‘1131’ which may indicate the model/pattern. Topping it off is a most stunning domed lid, which is topped with a beautiful knurled lifter. The rim has a band of gilt to the rim edge which matches the bowl rim on which it rests, there is a further little gilt band to the base of the knurled lifter. To the front and center of the lid is yet another gilt national eagle clutching a wreathed swastika, when lined/centered with the bowl`s eagle the small semi-circular ladle opening on the lid is then perfectly positioned.

Hitler most commonly used Meissen tableware, though the Nymphenburg firm manufactured the formal dinnerware for smaller settings, including his train and Nürnberg’s Deutscher Hof hotel. While in Nürnberg Hitler stayed at the Deutscher Hof Hotel, he had a large room on the first floor with windows from which he could review his marching columns. In 1936 an extension was built at the hotel which provided Hitler with a balcony, commonly referred to as the Führer balcony.

Adolf Hitler Informal Napkin from The Berghof (#4)

Adolf Hitler Informal Napkin from The Berghof

A rather lovely Adolf Hitler Informal napkin typically used for everyday use at breakfast, lunch & dinner when Hitler was present at various places he frequented the most; the ‘Berghof’ (Hitler’s mountain home), ‘Kehlsteinhaus’ (the Eagle’s Nest), the ‘Gasthaus’ (Guest House) at Obersalzberg, the ‘Braune Haus’ (the ‘Brown House’), his ‘Prinzregentenplaz’ apartment in Munich, and the ‘Reichskanzlei’ in Berlin, but especially at his mountain retreat in Obersalzberg, The Berghof.
The napkin is beige coloured and of a heavier linen material than the AH formal or even the Deutsche Reichsbahn types which you can also check out on our site. The napkin features a large white stitched Fuehrer Adler (the Leader’s Eagle) clutching a wreathed Swastika which is flanked by Hitler’s initials ‘A’ & ‘H’, it is situated inside a 3cm border accentuated by open white stitching and set to the lower right side (or left side depending on which way it is being held!).

The design for the Fuehrer Adler is attributed to Adolf Hitler himself adding yet another level of desirable collectability to these pieces!

An overall incredible set used at more casual dining events, mainly at Hitler`s home, The Berghof, where this particular napkin came from.
A superb display and investment piece.

There are four such napkins available for sale, individually listed, also please watch out for the huge AH informal Tablecloth from the same collection coming to this site soon!

    Condition:

The napkin is in absolutely beautiful condition, has no rips or tears, and is very clean. Just some very minor marks most likely due to storage, otherwise the expected cloth creases due to folding which could be ironed out if so desired. The Fuehrer Adler looks spectacular.
