Bruckmann & Sohne Solid Silver Stem Vase from Hermann Göring’s Family Wagon 10 ‘205’

A quite superb, and incredibly rare solid silver stem/flute vase, specially produced by Bruckmann & Sohne for the Deutsche Reichsbahn Sonderzugs.

This beautiful vase is one of two styles used on the Sonderzugs, this being the stem or flute type, the other was a tulip vase which had a more bulbus body, Göring however prefered the stem vase as we see here.
The front features the Deutsche Reichsbahn Eagle with wreathed swastika straddled by the letters D and R. To the underside is found the silver manufacturer’s hallmarks: a cresent moon, crown, ‘800’ (silver content), and imperial eagle, below this is the number ‘205’ indicating the wagon number.

    Condition:

Absolutely beautiful silver vase in stunning condition, some light tarnish, and a little dark patina in the DR motif, a superb display piece, and a great investment. One of the most sought-after Deutsche Reichsbahn items.
