Nymphenburg Porcelain Small Milk Jug / Creamer from Hermann Göring’s Dining Wagon 10 ‘243’
A beautiful little porcelain Small Milk Jug / Creamer, specially produced by the Nymphenburg factory in Munich for the Deutsche Reichsbahn Sonderzugs.
The jug carries designation marks for Hermann Göring’s Sonderzug ‘Asien’, and in particular carriage number ‘243’ which was Göring’s dining wagon.
The highly glazed porcelain is accentuated with a fine red trim and even finer gold trim to the inside and top of the spout rim. The tiny base/foot of the jug also has red and gold trim, this time with the thin gold line to the top and the red underneath. Centered to the jug body is the Deutsche Reichsbahn insignia, a gold eagle with wreathed swastika straddled by the letters D and R. To the underside is found the green Nymphenburg crest, an impressed Nymphenburg Crest, and a hand-painted number ‘243’ in black indicating the wagon number.
