Bruckmann Silver Individual Gravy Boat from Hermann Göring`s Dining Wagon 10 ‘243’

A Scarce Bruckmann Silver Individual Gravy Boat, specially produced for the Deutsche Reichsbahn Sonderzugs.
The gravy boat is complete with its removable spill tray which still has the original “finger twist” locking nut to the base.
The boat carries designation marks for Hermann Göring`s Sonderzug ‘Asien’, and in particular carriage number ‘243’ which was Göring`s dining wagon.
This fabulous gravy boat is accentuated with a lovely scrolling handle, a rolled bowl rim edge, and a stepped oval foot. To the front and center of the bowl body (spout facing left ) is a large and finely detailed Deutsche Reichsbahn Eagle with wreathed Swastika straddled by the letters D and R all in relief. The oval spill tray has a raised edge with, again, a lovely rolled edge. To the underside of the tray is found the stamped Bruckmann ‘B’  along with a locomotive symbol makers mark, followed by ’ALPAKA’ indicating heavy silver plate, and then the impressed number ‘243’ indicating the wagon number.

These superb looking personal gravy boats are one of the most sought after Deutsche Reichsbahn silver pieces and rarely show up on the open market.
