Bruckmann Silver Dinner Fork from Adolf Hitler`s Staff Dining Wagon 10 ‘244’

A lovely example of a raised edge Bruckmann Dinner Fork, specially produced for the Deutsche Reichsbahn Sonderzugs.
The fork carries designation marks for Adolf Hitler’s Fuhurersonderzug ‘Amerika’, and in particular carriage number ‘244’ which was Hitler’s staff dining wagon.
The fork handle is accentuated with a raised edge to obverse and reverse. The obverse features a fantastic and finely detailed Deutsche Reichsbahn Eagle with wreathed Swastika straddled by the letters D and R all in relief to the bottom of the handle. To the reverse is found the stamped Bruckmann ‘train’ makers mark, followed by ’90’ indicating silver plate, and then the impressed number ‘244’ indicating the wagon number.

Condition:
