NSDAP Formal Silverware Individual Teapot by Wellner

£495.00

NSDAP Formal Silverware Individual Teapot by Wellner

A fabulous little silver plated ‘individual’ teapot by famous German silversmith Wellner. Used at formal gatherings and party meetings of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei). It is a lovely design, not unlike the larger AH, Adolf Hitler or RK, Reich Chancellery teapots, some of which were also manufactured by Wellner. It displays an engraved NSDAP Eagle & wreathed swastika centered to the upper front. To the base is found the maker mark ‘Wellner’, followed by 40cl, which means it will hold 400 mills, and then a small circle with the number ’17’, which indicates the silver content. These individual teapots, if you are lucky enough to find one, are much rarer than the larger, standard size pieces.

Condition:

The teapot is in near mint condition, it does display some minor surface marks and there is a tiny dent to the left of the ‘eagle’, otherwise absolutley beautiful, a beautiful display piece. Super rare piece making for excellent investment potential.
Some of the photographs display patterns and shapes on the surface of the teapot, this is purely due to reflections from the photgraphic light-box.

Dimensions:

Height: 12.5cm

Width, tip of spout to end of handle: 16.5cm

Weight: 473g

All weights and measurements are approximate.
