Original price was: £2,250.00.Current price is: £499.00.

Nymphenburg Porcelain Individual Coffee Pot from Hermann Göring’s Utility and Service Wagon 105 ‘064’ (partially restored)

A beautiful porcelain Coffee Pot, specially produced by the Nymphenburg factory in Munich for the Deutsche Reichsbahn Sonderzugs.
The pot carries designation marks for Hermann Göring’s Sonderzug ‘Asien’, and in particular carriage number ‘064’ which was a service and utility wagon on Göring’s train.
The highly glazed porcelain is accentuated with a fine red trim and even finer gold trim to the inside and top of the spout rim. There is an interlocking lid with a little spherical lifter, the top of which is also painted red. The little base/foot of the jug also has red and gold trim, this time with the thin gold line to the top and the red underneath. Centered just above midway on the body is the Deutsche Reichsbahn insignia, a gold eagle with wreathed swastika straddled by the letters D and R. To the underside is found the green Nymphenburg crest, a very faint impressed Nymphenburg Crest,  two numbers `00`, and a hand-painted number ‘064’ in black indicating the wagon number.

Condition:
This little coffee pot looks fantastic, although it has had some minor restoration at some point, you need to look closely, but this can be seen to the bottom rim below the spout, and to the area of the body around the top loop of the handle, otherwise some internal staining present assumed from past use. This said, it is a super-rare DR individual size coffee pot, from a super-rare wagon. Superb display & investment piece, and priced based on issues described, fantastic value!
